REGULATIONS

 

1.     General regulations

 

In the spring of 2020, the leaders of children's and youth musical groups were faced with the need to develop new forms of educational and creative activity: the organization of distance learning in various musical subjects, online rehearsals, and the realization of the creative potential of pupils in distance work.


Created in order to promote and support the most effective methods of online work in musical groups, the competition is designed to identify and encourage vibrant creative initiatives that demonstrate the results of pedagogical work in new conditions.

 

COMPETITION AIMS

 

• support of creative initiatives of leaders of musical groups in the conditions of distance work;

 

• creation of conditions for a fruitful creative exchange of experience of specialists in the field of musical education of children and youth;

 

• providing creative collectives with opportunities for performing self-fulfillment in the conditions of distance work.

 

 

COMPETITION TASKS

 

• maintaining the interest of students in creative activities and the work of the teaching staff during the inability to conduct classes in traditional forms;

 

• stimulating the creative approach of collective leaders and teachers to search for forms of online work;

 

• the formation of a holistic musical and aesthetic environment that accumulates students' social and creative activity;

 

• establishing close creative ties between educational institutions, the exchange of performing, pedagogical and technical experience.

 

 

 

 

2. The organizing committee of the competition

 

The organizer of the online contest is the Center for Creative Development and Musical and Aesthetic Education of Children and Youth «Radost», the leading institution of the Moscow Department of Education and Science in the field of mass musical and aesthetic and artistic education of children and youth, the operator of the Moscow City a comprehensive targeted youth education program «Moscow Children Sing».

 

 

 

3. Contestants

 

The competition can be attended by vocal and instrumental groups of any composition of over 3 people. The age of the participants is not organic.

 

 

 

 

4. Directions and nominations of the competition

 

1. Nomination «Academic Choral Singing»

 

Categories of participants:

 

• Vocal ensembles (from 3 people)

 

• Vocal-choral ensembles (from 12 to 19 people)

 

• Choral groups (from 20 people)

 

 

2. Nomination «Folk choral singing»

 

Categories of participants:

 

• Small forms (3-8 participants)

 

• Folklore ensembles (from 9 participants),

 

• Folk choirs (from 20 people)

 

 

3. Nomination «Pop singing»

 

Categories of participants:

 

• Vocal ensembles (from 3 people)

 

• Vocal-choral ensembles (from 12 to 19 people)

 

• Choral groups (from 20 people)

 

 

4. Nomination «Orchestral Performing»

 

Categories of participants:

 

• Small instrumental ensembles (from 3 people) (any composition of instruments)

 

• Medium instrumental ensembles (from 12 to 19 people) (any composition of instruments)

 

• Orchestras (from 20 people) (of any composition: symphonic, wind, folk instruments, pop, jazz, etc.)

 

 

 

 

5. Age categories of the competition

 

In each nomination and category of participants, the reviews are held in the following age categories:

 

0 (preschool) age category: 5–6 years;

 

I (youngest) age category: 7–10 years old;

 

II (middle) age category: 11-14 years old;

 

III (senior) age category: 15 years old - 19 years old;

 

IV (amateur) age category: 20 years and older;


V (mixed) age category.

 

 

 

6. Requirements for competitive works

 

Each collective member, regardless of nomination, provides a video clip created no earlier than January 20, 2020.

 

The video clip must demonstrate the performance of any piece of music in the conditions of home distance work of participants with subsequent video editing.

 

The use of phonograms is not recommended.

 

The duration of the video clip is no more than 7 minutes.

8. The jury of the competition

 

The nomination jury is composed of specialists in the field of culture and art of Russia who have outstanding achievements in the field of musical performance and pedagogy.

 

The composition of the jury in nominations will be announced later.

 

 

 

 

 

9. Evaluation of entries

 

Competition entries are rated on a 10-point scale:

 

• 10 points - Grand Prix;

 

• 9–9.9 points correspond to the title of laureate of the first degree;

 

• 8–8.9 points - to the title of laureate of the II degree;

 

• 7–7.9 points - to the title of laureate of the III degree;

 

• 6–6.9 points - to the rank of diplomat;

 

• Less than 6 points - to the rank of the participant.

 

 

 Criteria for the evaluation of entries:

 

• performing level of participants;

 

• general culture of performance (appearance of participants, etc.);

 

• technical level and originality of the video clip.

 

 

 

 

10. Awarding of winners and participants of the competition

 

The results of the competition will be published on the website of the program “Moscow Children Sing”: http://choirsofmoscow.ru/ June 30, 2020.

 

Diplomas to the winners and participants, as well as gratitude to the leaders, teachers, accompanists and technical executors of the competition works will be sent by e-mail specified in the applications, June 30 - July 1, 2020.

 

 

 

11. The procedure for submitting applications for participation in the tender

 

To participate in the competition, you must fill out an online application form  by June 7, 2020 (inclusive).


In the corresponding field of the online application, you must place a link to the video clip - a competitive entry posted on any Internet resource in the public domain.


Applications without links to the video clip, as well as incomplete, are not valid.

 

PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION IS FREE!

 

Attention! Filing an application for participation in the competition confirms the consent to the processing by the Organizing Committee of the personal data of the participants.

 

The information specified in the application will be used in the preparation of diplomas. Thanks to the competition, only the teachers indicated in the application can be noted.

 

Feedback will be carried out exclusively by phone and e-mail specified in the application.

 

 

 

 

12. Legal conditions

 

 

Sending an application for participation in the tender indicates agreement with this Regulation and consent to the placement of the submitted materials in open sources, and also ensures that:

 

• creative work was personally performed by a contestant or sound engineer;

 

• for this competition work, the author (s) has no obligations to third parties that impede the placement of materials on the websites of the Organizing Committee of the competition, the copyright law has been observed;

 

• all materials that do not have links to any sources are copyrighted;

 

• copyright materials of minors are posted with the consent of their legal representatives (parents, guardians, etc.);

 

• the author (s) grant (s) the right to the Organizing Committee of the competition to use creative work, a video of the competition performance or part thereof indicating the author (s), artist (s) at his discretion without additional coordination with him (them) and without paying royalties to their projects, including with the aim of popularizing the competition.

 

In the case of gross violations of copyright (i.e. borrowing other people's works or their substantial fragments without reference to authorship), creative work (competition performance) is not considered by the jury.
